La Boqueria is amazing

Another amazing dinner a la Jodie. Tonight we had mussles and shrimp. La Boqueria is insane. We bought the most amazing mussles there and they were only $3.50 a pound. We also had a nice bottle of local Catalan white wine. It hurt the travel budget as well, coming in at $3.00. I'll leave you with a picture of the experience.

Barcelona - Day 4

Today was a touristy day like I said in the last post. We took the tourist bus and rode all around the city and went to places that we haven't gotten to see yet. We spent most of our day riding on the bus and then getting off at Montjuic where the 1992 Olympics were held. It was so green and totally different than the city. The views were amazing as well. For lunch we went to this tiny little tapas bar and it was AWESOME!!! We loved this place. It was called Quimet i Quimet we had several different dishes. We had the speciality, which was preserved clams, cockles and mussels. We also had the montaditos. One was salmon sashimi, cream cheese, honey and soy on toasted bread. The other one was some kind of pate with olives on toasted bread. We told the lady to surprise us with something and that is what she made us. We also had two glasses of cava (spanish champagne) a piece. I believe I was a little tipsy afterwards, because I drank the first glass on a very empty stomach. After lunch, we stumbled out of the bar..hehe just kidding. We went to Poble Espanyol, which is a village that features local artists and their crafts. Then we took the tour bus back down the hill and got a shot of the Olympic stadium. We traveled back to La Boqueria (the big outdoor market) to get something for dinner.
